»Dr.T.T.Srinivasan hails from a family of Musicians, his grand father Sri. T. Srinivasachar and uncle of his grand father, Sri. T. Sheshachar were Violinists.
»T.T.S. was born in Mysore on Wednesday the 12th May,1948 to Smt. Padma Tatachar and Sri. T.S. Tatachar.
Dr.T.T.S found a Guru in his Father
»His father, Shri. T.S. Tatachar was a reputed violinist and was on the staff of A.I.R. Madras, Mysore and Bangalore and also recipient of several titles and honours.
»T.T.S. had systematic training from his childhood in a traditional manner from his father Sri. T.S. Tatachar, and thus was able to assimilate all the finer details of the instrument at a very early age.
»T.T.S. gave his first concert at the age of 15, in the company of his father. Since then, he has provided violin accompaniment to almost all the leading South Indian musicians — to mention only a few: Smt. D.K. Pattammal, Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, Dr. M.L. Vasanthakumari, Dr. Nagamani Srinath, Sri Maharajapuram S. Santhanam, Sri D.K. Jayaraman, Dr. N. Ramani, Smt. Sikkil Sisters, Sri Prapancham Seetharam, Dindigul Sri S.P. Natarajan, Sri K.S. Gopalakrishnan, Smt. Radha and Jayalakshmi, Smt. Bombay Sisters, Smt. R. Vedavalli, Smt. Mani Krishnaswamy, Smt. Sudha Raghunathan, Smt. Aruna Sairam, Smt. S. Bombay Jayashree, Sri Kadri Gopalanath, Sri A.K.C. Natarajan, Sri B. Rajam Iyer, Sri Madurai N. Krishnan, Prof. T.R. Subramaniam, Sri T.V. Shankaranarayanan, Trichur Sri Ramachandran, Sri B.V. »AIR Dharwad arranged an invited audience programme "Pancha Violin Mela"(3 Hindusthani and 2 Carnatic Violin artists) at Town Hall, Dharwad. It was led by Dr. T.T. Srinivasan in which Hindusthani Compositions were played under the direction of Pandit Vasanth Kanakapur, a Harmonium Maestro. International fame Tabala Maestro Pandit Raghunath Nakod accompanied in this programme.
»Dr. T.T. S. also broadcast Violin Solo programmes on many occasions from AIR New Delhi, Chennai, Trivandrum, Trissur, Trichy and other AIR Stations.He has also participated in several Carnatic and Hindusthani Jugalbandhis.In addition to accompaniment, he has given violin solo performances at many sabhas.
»Today, T.T.S. is regarded as a leading violin vidwan of his generation.Alongside his own performing career, Dr. T.T. Srinivasan has, with immense dedication and untiring effort, personally taught and mentored a great many students over the years — often spending hours at a stretch in training, unmindful of time, so that every disciple received his complete and unstinting attention.
»He has given violin duet concerts with his father Sri. T.S.Tatachar and also violin solo performances in many sabhas, besides providing violin accompaniment to stalwarts. Now T.T.S. is a leading violin vidwan of present generation.

Received the D.Litt. degree for his thesis, “Contribution of Dr. Rallapalli Ananthakrishna Sharma to Literature and the Fine Arts.”
